One of the world's largest news wire agencies is planning on covering New Mexico's statewide general election this November.
By covering, we mean that Reuters will be providing real-time election results on Nov. 4.
"For the first time, Reuters, in conjunction with the global market research and polling firm Ipsos, is reporting election results in real-time for all 50 states on November 4," says Chris Artis, head of editorial booking at the Reuters News. "Reuters will report the results of the elections for both houses of Congress, governors’ races and state legislatures."
Election results will be featured at the news agency's website, Reuters.com as well as with its media clients.
"Offering elections results is a first for Reuters and we are offering it as a way to best serve the needs of our media clients and Reuters.com readers," Artis says.
Of course, SFR will be reporting on statewide election results that same night, and we suggest that election night watchers also stop by sfreporter.com, where we will be teaming up with Matt Reichbach and his independent news website New Mexico Telegram to provide up-to-the-minute live election results.
