Sometimes you need to go to the eye doctor, and sometimes you need eyeglasses, and they usually happen simultaneously—so what’s better than a single building that has it all? Eye Associates of New Mexico, with locations from Clovis to Farmington and everywhere in between, has been helping New Mexicans with their eye problems for 30 years. Its Santa Fe location includes a surgery center (for stuff like cataract removal and Lasik) and an optical shop. Four certified opticians provide the kind of individual attention once reserved for specialty frame shops.

Optical Process Advisor Dolores King says with a smile, “We like to have fun. We try to give our customers a really pleasant, unique experience.” Frames from the likes of Gucci, Lucky and Nine West are available, and the shop offers warranties and full repair services for those who mistake their glasses for a seat cushion. King says, “We want a person’s glasses to be an asset to their appearance so they not only see better, but they look better too.”
