Santa Fe County Ranks 4th for Vaccines So Far

New Mexico reporting 1,085 new COVID-19 cases and 22 more deaths

Santa Fe County ranks fourth for the percentage of people vaccinated so far in New Mexico, according to new data from the health department. Geographic data on the state's vaccine dashboard shows Santa Fe County has vaccinated 21.07% of the population—with either primary or full doses. Guadalupe County leads the state with 34.40%, while Harding County comes in last with no vaccinations.

Statewide, a total of 248,183 doses have been administered—close to 80% as primary shots with nearly 51,000 booster shoots given. The doses represent close to 90% of the vaccines New Mexico has received so far.

New Mexico health officials today reported 1,085 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 172,798. The health department has designated 101,054 of those cases as recovered.

Bernalillo County had 482 new cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 104 and Sandoval County with 75. Santa Fe County had 49 new cases today.

The state also announced 22 additional deaths; there have now been 3,248 fatalities statewide.

As of today, 538 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.*
