New Mexico COVID-19 Cases: 24,469

Health officials report 76 new cases and two more deaths

New Mexico health officials today reported 76 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total thus far to 24,469.

Bernalillo County had 19 new cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 10 and Eddy and Lea counties each with nine. Santa Fe County had three new cases.

The state also announced two more deaths in Lea and McKinley counties. There have been 747 fatalities.

As of today, 68 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.* That number is down from 119 hospitalizations one week ago today.

  • A male in his 80s from Lea County who was hospitalized

All have been corrected from the county totals, which are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.
