New Mexico's COVID-19 cases are now at 363, an increase of 48 since yesterday. Those new positive cases include six new cases in Santa Fe County, bringing the total here to 48 cases.
County totals, per a news release from the governor's office, shift as determinations are made regarding residency.
The state also reported a new death from the virus, the state's sixth: A female in her 90s from Sandoval County who died Tuesday, March 31. She had been hospitalized and had underlying medical conditions.
The new cases as of today are:
- 19 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 1 new case in Catron County
- 2 new cases in Cibola County
- 2 new cases in Curry County
- 3 new cases in Doña Ana County
- 1 new case in Grant County
- 4 new cases in McKinley County
- 1 new case in Otero County
- 3 new cases in Sandoval County
- 5 new cases in San Juan County
- 6 new cases in Santa Fe County
- 1 new case in Taos County
Today's report reflects the results of 14,011 tests performed so far. Yesterday, Health Secretary Kathy Kunkel announced the state had expanded criteria for testing to now include asymptomatic people with contact with those who have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as asymptomatic people living in congregate nursing facilities.
