Talin Market Closes Grocery Section

But home delivery service kicks off

"Unceremonious" may not quite drive home the nature of the beast, but did you know Talin Market (Luna Center, 505 Cerrillos Road, 780-5073) quietly closed its grocery section on Monday? Yikes. It's a move that made at least one SFR staffer proclaim, "Where the hell am I supposed to go for my exotic ingredients now?!"

Just breathe.

"Our lease is ending, and I know people have been happy we were there," Talin's director of operations Victor Limary tells SFR. "So were we. We'll offer home delivery in Santa Fe, though, which we thought was a good compromise."

Limary says that he understands Santa Feans don't always want to head to Albuquerque for Talin offerings, and that orders placed online by 1 pm are eligible for same-day home delivery. Such orders can be made here. Orders placed after 1 pm should arrive the following day, though there's no service on Sundays or holidays, so plan accordingly. A delivery fee is applied as well.

In the meantime, Talin's Monday dumpling service will reportedly continue through January (though not on Christmas or New Year's Day), and Limary says the company is considering a number of Santa Fe locations for a more regular dumpling restaurant. "We're looking," he says, "though nothing is set in stone."
