His focus concerns the active nature of landscapes and the long history of landscape alteration by humans from the beginning to present. Marcus Hamilton is a postdoctoral fellow at the Santa Fe Institute.

Adriana Bustos leads a panel discussion where she discusses her work with the Drug Policy Alliance and Bette Fleishman of the New Mexico Women's Justice Project.
