The Pantry Restaurant
The fact that one can belly up to the counter at the Pantry and get down to serious business with an omelet, steak and eggs or a genuine contender for best chile-smothered breakfast burrito on the face of the earth, does not preclude sitting down at a table with friends and wringing some more flair out of the considerable breakfast and lunch menu.
Want your buttermilk pancakes actually stuffed with blueberries? No problem. Build your own breakfast? Just tell them how you want it. Did you wake up dreaming about a magical bowl full of perfect home fries, topped with red chile, melted cheese and a fried egg? It's on the menu.
Lunch has all the New Mexican classics, including rellenos and stuffed sopapillas, but also allows for burgers, a full array of diner sandwiches and the option of ordering green chile chicken enchiladas in pans to serve groups of 10 to 20 people. The Pantry's delectable chile is also available by the quart or the gallon, in red or green. You'll have to mix the Christmas yourself. (Zane Fischer)
