Mike Zolnick's Profile
Mike Zolnick
Newark, DE
A year ago, Mike packed up his covered wagon, left the Dirty South, and started a new life in the Western frontier. His voyage was not met without hardship. His younger sister died of dyssentery despite an increase in fluid. His wagon yoke broke without a suitable replacement. And, much to the chagrin of the natives, he shot a 600 lb buffalo, but his party could only carry 200 lbs. Mike spent much of his childhood on a farm on the East Coast. He quickly fled the cows, the cold, and the close-by relatives breathing down his neck. He has been known to wander the wasteland alone, picking at the shells of supply trains. Mike likes warm rain, Planet Earth, any food stuffed with another food, Bugs Bunny cartoons, bacon, Risk, the zombie apocalypse and exclamation points! He hates J-Lo movies, Dr. Phil, small dogs, scented candles, coconut candies, and girls that take a million pictures of themselves.

Ramon Calderon, vocalist from Changui Son, has dug deep into his Cuban roots to bring us música del boca, or "music of the mouth."
