Slow economy?

No good jobs available?

We disagree.

The Santa Fe Reporter is hiring qualified people to fill exciting full-time positions. We offer a dynamic, fun work environment and the opportunity to help produce the community's leading source for news, culture and entertainment.

We're also seeking interns in various departments. Internships at the Reporter are a proven method to learning about journalism, photo-journalism, news and culture reporting, web development and social media management.

Editorial Internship (News)

If you love the thrill of a breaking story, keep obsessing about the 2012 election, like words (and charts, graphs, photo and video), the Santa Fe Reporter wants you!

This fall, SFR introduces its News Internship, an unparalleled opportunity to learn the ins and outs of real, deadline-driven, groundbreaking investigative reporting. Technology is changing the newsroom--which means it's the perfect time to jump in and be part of journalism's exciting future. As a news intern, you will assist SFR's award-winning staff writers in researching, writing, fact checking and producing multimedia content for stories. You'll have ample opportunity to blog, take photos, do interviews and get clips. We're looking for smart, flexible aspiring journalists. Internships last 3-6 months and are unpaid (course credit available); hours are flexible. Come and work with our young, fun, slightly nutty staff! We promise you'll love it.

To apply, please email a letter of interest, resume and writing sample to:

Editorial Internship (Culture)

Aspiring writers who love nothing better than watching Scorsese films or listening to Abbey Road all day: Come work for us!

The Santa Fe Reporter seeks a Culture Intern with a critical eye and a love for all things culturally relevant--music, film, the arts, even hipster fashion. Culture interns contribute to news and culture content, both in print and online, in a variety of ways, including helping to write culture calendars, previews and reviews, news stories, research assignments and group projects. Some light clerical work also involved. Candidates for these unpaid positions must be able to work 20 hours per week for 3-6 months. Upon successful completion, documentation can be provided for course credit.
