Brown Bag Lunch

12 pm, Nov 06, 2013 | Free

Art Sandwich

Longing to take away some of the rigor that inherently is tied with cultural institutions, the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts invites patrons, art lovers and the general public to their Brown Bag Lunch on Wednesday. Promising an eye-opening experience led by MoCNA collections curator, Tatiana Lomahaftewa-Singer, the afternoon session includes a discussion of the museum’s extensive collection. Since 1962, as stewards of the National Collection of Contemporary Native Art, MoCNA oversees over 7,500 artworks in every media imaginable. The free lunchtime series also features guest speakers and open dialogue surrounding the concept of contemporary Native American art. Bring an open mind, as well as a sandwich, as this event is BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch). (Enrique Limón)

Brown Bag Lunch: 12 pm Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Free. MoCNA, 108 Cathedral Place, 983-1666
