SFR's 2010 Halloween Party

by Rani Molla
7-11 pm, Oct 30, 2010 | $2 (benefits Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families)
{venue_title}

Shameless—but totally great—plug: The Santa Fe Reporter throws the best Halloween parties. In addition to hanging out with the very scary SFR staff, there’s always plenty to do. This year, DJs Joe Ray Sandoval and Sol haunt the decks while Macabre Inc. creeps everyone out with a spooky haunted house.

The party features a raffle and costume contest, so there are many ways to win (really, you are a winner just for showing up). Certain SFR staff and partygoers have been known to take Halloween very seriously, so don’t skimp—unless, of course, you’re going for a risqué outfit—on the costume. This 21-and-over event is co-sponsored by Hogles Theatrical Supply (so you know the decor is top-notch) and benefits Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families (so you know your donation money is going to a good cause).

SFR’s party ends early enough that you can hit other Halloween parties afterward—at Corazón, El Patio Café and SilverStarlight Lounge, to name a few—if we didn’t freak you out too much, that is. For more Halloween events, see our calendar listings.
