Every keen art eye that actually watched Bravo TV's Work of Art: The Next Great Artist figured Peregrine Honig for the clear winner. In the end, she took second place, but that doesn't bother Honig.
In an interview with SFR, Honig explained her horror, satisfaction and interest in the reality TV phenomenon and explains that her Santa Fe exhibition, Loser, is better for it.
Honig includes her telltale drawings in the exhibition, stark figures dealing with complex metaphorical issues through pop culture iconography and resonant ideas, as well as new sculptural work, much of which has its genesis on the TV show.
Wax castings span a range of emotions and innuendo that Honig has carefully compiled for viewers.
