Annual 4th of July Fireworks Display

by Ramón A Lovato
6 pm doors, 9 pm fireworks, Jul 04, 2010 | $1 admission, $5 parking

Let the barbeques ensue this Independence day, but remember there’s a drought, so please don’t set off unlicensed fireworks. Instead, head down to Santa Fe High School at dusk, because the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Fe and the pyrotechnists from Hogle’s Theatrical Supplies Inc. will provide the city’s awesome annual fireworks display.

Celebratory shenanigans abound in the hours before the show, and include musical performances by Luminous Soul, Soulfire and Savage Wisdom. Whatever you do, make sure all the pancakes and barbecue you ate earlier won’t keep you from dancing.

Where: Santa Fe High School
Address: 610 Alta Vista Street

Santa Fe High School is not located on Alta Vista--that's the administrative office for SFPS.  There's going to be a lot of confused tourists.  Don't you guys proof articles ?

4th of July Fireworks is a pretty big event to print the wrong address for. SFHS is at 2100 Yucca Street.  The Reperter is a great paper, but this is the kind of thing that reinforces the unkind, if not unfounded, opinion that Santa Fe is full of flakes.
