This cool map from Forbes shows how people are moving around the country, based on IRS data.

It looks like Santa Fe sucks up retirees and spits out hipsters.

Arizonans, Californians, South Floridians and just-outside-the-Beltway folks have been flocking to Santa Fe.

Meanwhile, younger Santa Feans (judging by their low incomes) have been fleeing to Austin, Denver and Portland.

Within New Mexico, more people are moving to Albuquerque from here than vice-versa. But Rio Arriba County residents are heading to Santa Fe en masse.
