Get Bitten this Sunday

A bite of the Big Apple comes to Santa Fe

I've never been to New York, but whenever I've heard folks wax poetic on the subject, the theater is never far away. Come celebrate a "towering contribution" to New York theater at the Santa Fe premiere of Joe Papp in Five Acts.

This critically-acclaimed documentary, directed by Tracie Holder, examines the life of theater great Joe Papp, who democratized theater and pioneered the iconic Shakespeare in the Park.

Costume designer Patricia McGourty, who worked for Papp for 10 years, says the event is "about a golden age in New York theater; Papp has left an incredible legacy."

A quintessentially New York event, it wouldn't be complete without lox and bagels, a NYT crossword puzzle, and some coffee, available for purchase before the
noon screening.
