Mora County issued a news release on Thursday announcing that lawyers practicing in five states signed onto a letter pledging to “provide any support that we can if the ordinance is challenged by those interests that may be affected by it.”
According to the release, the attorneys are from Ohio, Washington, Hawaii, New Hampshire and New Mexico.

With 15 seeds per packet, that adds up to 750,000 seeds, and untold numbers of jalapenos, Bhut Jolokias and New Mexico green chiles.
The city would have been required to subsidize a minimum of $389,813 per year. But the proposed agreement also included a clause guaranteeing income equivalent to a 70 percent passenger load on each flight, bringing the city's potential liability up to $1,113,765.12 per year if not enough passengers bought flights.
Ordinance 1435, should it pass twice with the commission, will amend an existing traffic code -- which bans things like driving with an animal in your lap and other distracting behavior -- to prohibit talking and texting while driving without a hands-free device.
