Last year, SFR published a Homeless in Santa Fe series (

), which aimed to shed light on the issue of homelessness in Santa Fe—in the words of the homeless.---

Tomorrow, Santa Fe Need and Deed—a local nonprofit organization that helps foster a deeper understanding of homelessness through personal, one-on-one perspectives by providing profiles of homeless and in need Santa Feans so that "they may be matched with sponsors and assistance"—and the Masters Program at Santa Fe Community College hold a benefit concert and art sale.

The event, held at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe in the Railyard, features a live performance by Santa Fe alt-country band Anthony Leon & The Chain as well as artwork by locals and members of Need and Deed. Tickets for the event cost $12 for adults and $7 for students. SFND asks attendees to bring a can of nonperishable food for its food drive. To purchase tickets, call Martha at 920-2227. Support those members of our community who are in need and enjoy a vibrant evening of music, dance and art.
