Weekly Word: Water Talk with Coco Harris

By Joey Peters
wide-weekly-word

New Mexico is a barren desert and has no water. On this week's podcast, hosts Matthew Reichbach and Joey Peters talk water issues with blogger Coco J. Harris , who's been paying close attention to them since 2004.

Coco, who writes for Cocoposts and El Grito, gives us the rundown on some of the nearly 40 bills currently in the Legislature dealing with water issues. She also explains what water rights are, and why they're so important in the dry lands of the American West.
