Weekly Word Podcast With Rob Nikolewski

By Joey Peters
wide-weekly-word

This week, Weekly Word hosts Matthew Reichbach and Joey Peters talk with Capitol Report New Mexico's Rob Nikolewski about the latest news in the 2013 New Mexico Legislative session.

The issues covered for this episode include a potential increase to the state's minimum wage, closing the $12 billion unfunded liability in the state's pension rolls and proposed changes to New Mexico's film tax credit.

Earlier this week, Nikolewski reported that Gov. Susana Martinez may hold a special session if pensions aren't taken care of in the current Legislative session. In the podcast, Nikolewski talks a little about the infamous "influential state senator" who first told him about the potential of a special session (hint: it's not John Arthur Smith).
