If this is for real, I have changed my opinion of Governor Martinez. Good for her and good for NM!
This is the first time I have seen a Republican (other than Chris Christy) make a decision based on the needs of the constituents and not to make Obama look bad or fail. Kudos to this courageous Governor. She will villified by her party, make no mistake.
Credit for the governor coming from liberals! Amazing! You worry about Republicans villifying her, but what about you? Will her principled stand, coming as it does in opposition to her party, cause you to REALLY give her serious consideration for a future election, or will you fall back into the time-honored New Mexican tradition of voting for the idiot-child scion of some other long-term crook who carries a (D) after their name on the ballot? (Think Jerome Block Jr., Ben Ray Lujan...)
Will this include seniors who receive less than $15400?
Seniors average $12000. Medicaid will pay for medicair for these retired poor, but their is a huge deductible, and limits under the medicaire since 2011.
Suplemental insurance that will pay the overages costs over $100 a month at 65, and increases as you age to over $1000 a month at 98.
It doesn't cover the $2000 deductable, but will partially cover the holes.
