Proper Petiquette

Take care of your pets this holiday season

By Tess Cutler
pony

Consider this a public service announcement. On behalf of the great American pets of our country (Bo, Lassie, Scooby Doo, The Pussycat Dolls, etc.), I'd like to reserve a moment of your time...maybe 23 seconds (40, if you're a slow reader).

This holiday season is a myriad of appointment dates starting with Thanksgiving and ending on the last day of December. It is one month and one week of table-settings, hefty double-knotted trash bags and potential visits to the "veterinary emergency clinic," warns the Santa Fe Humane Society.

Keep an eye on your "furry friend" and also, if you can manage, keep an eye on your pet.  Be the kind of vigilant pet owner that makes the Santa Fe Humane Society proud.
For more information on proper petiquette (I made up that word) during the holidays, go to sfhumansociety.org

To the American people and their loyal pets: A very happy holidays, a Christma-kwaanz-ukkah and a healthy New Year.
