OK, maybe it's not quite as important as the presidency, but Powder Magazine is holding a "Ski Town Throwdown," and Santa Fe and Taos are up against Park City, Utah. We need your vote!

Powder Mag's competition pits the country's best ski destinations against each other in what Associate Editor John Clary Davies calls "a March Madness bracket-style tournament."

In the first round, No. 4-seeded Santa Fe and Taos go up against No. 5-seeded Park City. The winner will advance to compete against Bozeman, Montana.

Now, you probably don't need convincing, but Utah is full of...Utahans. Or whatever they call themselves. And 3 percent beer.

So, Taos, we know you hate uppity Santa Fe. Santa Fe, we know you think you're too rich for Taos' blood. But, just like the Evangelicals and the Tea Party, we've got to band together! (Oh wait, they lost. But you get the idea.)

Voting opens this coming Monday, Nov. 13, and closes Tuesday, Nov. 14. Show 'em New Mexico's better than the rest of those fools!
