By Alexa Schirtzinger

RE:MIKE, the project to revitalize St. Michael's Drive, is seeking input--stories, actually--about how St. Mike's, "past, present and future." Oh, and they're planning a cool event, too. Details...

Let's do this Q&A style.

RE:MIKE? I've never heard of that.

The monthly networking group MIX Santa Fe, along with the city and other local partners, is spearheading a project aimed at working to revitalize St. Michael's Drive. Project name: RE:MIKE (get it?). Project website: remikeable.com. Go forth and learn more.

What do you mean, "revitalize"?

Good question! It's not totally defined yet...which is precisely why the project's current phase is all about collecting community input about how St. Mike's has worked in the past, what works and doesn't in the present, and how it should look in the future. Click here to share your story.

What's the end game?

A cool pop-up "previtalization" event on Sept. 20-23*. According to former SFR Editor Julia Goldberg, the event will include:

• demonstration projects around water and food sheds, energy, transportation and potential for entrepreneurial development

• pop-up businesses from local entrepreneurs

• food and music

* lectures and presentations

*Know what's happening right before that? The Santa Fe Reporter Arts Festival. Cool, huh? Stay tuned for more details.
