SFR Wins National Awards for Multimedia, Innovation

This weekend, SFR won 1st place in Innovation/Format Busting and 3rd place in Multimedia from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies.
On July 23, the awards for all AAN members were announced at the organization's conference in New Orleans.
SFR's 1st place award, in the category of Innovation/Format Busting for papers with circulation under 50,000, was for "Anatomy of a Downfall," our coverage and interactive timeline of Santa Fe County Sheriff Greg Solano's revelation that he had sold approximately $73,000 worth of office equipment on eBay.
SFR also won 3rd place in Multimedia, a category that includes all alt-weeklies of all sizes. The award was for SFR's coverage of the 2010 elections.
