Two Santa Fe organizations are recruiting artists, so brush up on your application skills and get on the gravy train.
SITE Santa Fe's Spread event is looking for artists to potentially walk away with a sizable grant. The artists present their creative visions for any type of art project during 5 minutes speeches during a dinner.
The grant is supplied by the diners, who pay anywhere from $15-$5o for the dinner, during which they vote for their favorite of up to eight artists. The lucky winner will present their finished product at a future Spread event.
Do you have a piece of art that would look great in the Railyard Park and Plaza? The Railyard Art Project is always seeking artists, individually or in groups, to create installments around the Railyard. Temporary pieces and performance art are smiled upon, as is cross disciplinary work involving sociologists, historian, and scientists. The Railyard Art Committee reviews applications year round.
The deadline for the After Hours Alliance artist search was June 15, but keep your ears open for the winners. Thirty-five artists, who will be given booths at the Progressive Arts Fair in the fall, will be notified of their selection on July 15.
