SFPS Elections: Carrillo, Wikle and Trujillo Win

School Board has three new members.

According to preliminary results, Santa Fe Public Schools' Board of Education has three new members: Steven Carrillo in Dist. 1, Glenn Wikle in Dist. 2 and Linda Trujillo in Dist. 3.

From the unofficial election results posted on the Santa Fe County Clerk's website, Carrillo edged out a win over Carl Luff and incumbent Board VP Mary Ellen Gonzales. The District 1 candidates received 868, 476 and 274 votes, respectively.

In District 2, Glenn Wikle (1,302 votes) handily defeated Melissa Coleman (324 votes) and Donado "Cove" Coviello (40 votes).

Linda Trujillo ran unopposed in District 4, with her former opponent, Jason Romero (whose name was still on the ballot) netting just 14 votes.

All three winners were among SFR's endorsement picks.
