Market Metropolis

By Ramon Lovato
indian-market-2010-head-image It's that time of year when everyone and their nonprofit hosts some kind of market downtown. If the Plaza really is being "loved to death" as the Plaza Roundtable would have us believe, then at least it will die wrapped in a sunny shroud of funnel cakes and white canopies.

Unlike the 38th annual Girls Inc. Arts & Crafts Fair, where I was regularly forbidden from taking photographs, the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts had enough professional photographers on-site at this weekend's Indian Market that most of the vendors just kind of assumed that I—with my cheap point-and-click digital camera, which eats more batteries than Zozobra eats woes—was supposed to be there. Consequently, we have all these photos for your ocular enjoyment.
