Pass the Buche: Las Fotos

By Alexa Schirtzinger
DSC04175 Check out the taquista photos that didn't make the cut for this week's paper...after the jump.

Socorro Salinas' taco truck on Airport Road (above) does have the lovely pork-esophagus buche you're craving...for just $4 a burrito! (SFR played it safe with the tacos de barbacoa.)

Raúl Jaramillo shines Cervanto Enriquez's fancy boots on Cerrillos (below).

Jaramillo's shoe-shine van is a local legend—the best shine in Santa Fe, according to Enriquez.

Julio Perales (below) shows off the Famous Oasis, his 18-month-old Airport Road food stand (above) that offers everything from frito pies and snow cones to traditional Mexican dishes.

La Chabelita (above) has put down roots right next to the Airport Road Jalapeño's location, but competition hasn't hindered its success: Oaxaca-born manager Hever Canseco says he serves 200 customers a day.

The late-night taco stand outside Tequila's (above); tacos de barbacoa, garnished with cabbage, tomato, cilantro and lime, from the Salinas truck (below).
