Have you heard about Boy yet? Word on the street is it rocks and now is your chance to see it for free! Lensic Performing Arts Center presents, in a one-time-only showing, the New Mexico premier of the playful 2010 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection Boy, written, directed, and starred-in by 35-year-old New Zealand native Taika Waititi. Intrigued? We are too.

Following the screening, viewers initially had the opportunity to participate in an intimate Q&A with the young director himself, but this active filmmaker had to cancel due to a current project he's involved with in New Orleans.

Packed with family dysfunction, Michael Jackson obsession, and boyhood-to-manhood self-discovery, Boy presents a pleasantly unique coming-of-age story. With 15 award wins in the past 7 years, Waititi is undoubtedly on our upcoming director star watch.  And for a free showing, we're definitely there.
