The few picnicking families who wandered by Herb Martinez Park this sunburntastic Easter weekend looked bewildered and amused by the dozens of colorfully plumed, fancy-bike'd hipsters who gathered at the street hockey court for a multi-state bike polo tournament.

Never heard of bike polo? One participant summarized it as the "dorkiest bicycle sport ever." See for yourself:



SFR has no idea who won or anything like that. Teams came from Albuquerque, Colorado, Arizona, Texas and California—but Santa Fe was woefully unrepresented.
