Today at noon, Equality New Mexico is planning a rally in support of Senate Bill 183, this year's legislation to allow domestic partnerships for same-sex couples. The rally, held on the east (Old Santa Fe Trail) side of the Roundhouse, will feature speeches from the bill's sponsors, Rep. Mimi Stewart, D-Bernalillo, and Sen. Peter Wirth, D-Santa Fe, in addition to the usual good-natured rabble-rousing. The bill's first committee hearing is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 2) at 1:30pm.
