Even more Haiti outreach in Santa Fe

By SFR Staff
The love just keeps on coming from Santa Feans. Latest in a string of events to benefit the earthquake victims of Haiti is the effort from Art Exchange Gallery (618 Canyon Road, 982-6329). Gallery owner Jeff Tabor tells SFR that he and artist Ron Hubbard have decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of Hubbard's paintings to Haitian nonprofits that are helping on the ground.

Tabor says he's yet to draw up a specific list of charities to which the gallery will donate, but he also invites visitors and patrons to suggest what charity they'd like their money to go to.

Pictured at right is Hubbard's painting "Morning Lake," which retails for $2,000—and $600 of it will go directly to charity. That's no small chunk of change, and it could definitely do some good work for earthquake relief while the painting could do some good work sprucing up your living room.

Visit the gallery or check its website for more participating artists.
