What You'll Hear About Tomorrow

By Corey Pein
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Report:

"On Friday, May 1, 2009 at 9:53 am, victim reported that while travelling Northbound in his Peterbilt truck with belly dump trailer on Interstate 25 on La Bajada Hill, he had the driver of a white Ford van point at him what he perceived to be a semi automatic pistol. He stated that he was in fact in fear for his life. Victim went on to report that the driver of the white Ford van had stopped at Mile Post 273. Deputies made contact with the driver of the Ford Van, Mr Randy Dietsch. Deputies asked him if he had encountered a truck driver earlier, to which he said yes, that the belly dump trailer had nearly run him off the road, so he pointed his finger at the driver of the truck and then pulled out a plastic replica pistol, in what he described as an attempt to scare off the truck driver. Mr Dietsch was placed under arrest and transported him to Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center where he was charged and booked."

This was at I-25, La Bajada Hill, in Santa Fe County. Deputies arrested Randy Dietsch, age 53.
