Camp Out!

By Patricia Sauthoff
Update Check sfreeper.com/campcsf at 5 pm for coverage!!!

Today is the first day of Spring. Feel like celebrating? Camp out with the College of Santa Fe.

Tonight, beginning at 5 pm, supporters of HB 577, a bill that would allow the state to acquire the College of Santa Fe, will be camping out at the Roundhouse in hopes that the bill will be heard by the state Senate.

The New Mexico Legislature wraps up its session at noon Saturday, March 21 so this is CSF's last chance to get HB 577 heard.

SFR's Patricia Sauthoff and Dave Maass will be live on the scene (sfreeper.com/campcsf) starting at 5 pm to document the camp out.

Note to campers: Want to join us but don't want to schlep a laptop to the Roundhouse? Email us (culture@sfreporter.com or d.maass@gmail.com) your Twitter account link and we'll set you up to post from the steps of the Roundhouse.

Bring blankets, sleeping bags, umbrellas (weather.com says there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms), games, candles, homework, book, musical instrument and whatever else will keep you entertained.
