The media's going crazy over RNC Chairman Michael Steele's pledge to bring the GOP into the 21st century. Did he use "hip hop" and Republican party in the same statement? Yes he did.

Here in New Mexico, Rep. Jane Powdrell-Culbert, R-Sandoval, is the first and only Republican African-American to hold elected office. SFR caught up with her in the House chambers and she explained how and why the black community should embrace conservatism.
