Live from the Convention Center Inaug Party

You know, I remember the inauguration speeches of my childhood as tedious, long winded, bloviated things, full of promises subject to interpretation, thumb-twiddling, watch-checking affairs of pomp and ceremony, but altogether, a welcome break from math or science or social studies, whatever subject lesson was scheduled for noon EST.

This time...it's enchanting, entrancing, less mass hysteria than mass euphoria. These people here--and indeed, I--are effin stoked.
