Get with it

There is no good reason to deny that we must keep evolving until an adult, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, monogamy or polyamory, race or religion, is free to share love, sex, residence and marriage with any and all consenting adults.

Polyamory, polygamy, open relationships are not for everyone, but they are for some. The limited same-gender freedom to marry is a great and historic step but is not full marriage equality, because equality "just for some" is not equality. Let's stand up for every adult's right to marry the person(s) they love. Get on the right side of history!

You’re Wrong

David Ley's conclusions fly in the face of the scientific literature that shows many negative consequences of porn viewing. Those who have a problem with porn may want to try some alternative programs before committing themselves to the high-cost, high-commitment programs with a therapist. One program that works well and is easier to implement is the one found in the book Power Over Pornography. Worth a look.

Sex Ed, Feb. 4: “Why We Shouldn’t Use the Term ‘Sex Slave’”

Well-Intentioned Fail

Sexual exploitation has become so confounded by well-intentioned women that [sex workers] are no longer seen as being able to make sexual choices without the implication that we are being victimized. I cringe when I read most reports being thrown around about the sheer number of women being "sex trafficked" when the author tosses in as an aside, "and other sex workers."

The vast majority of prostitutes are in it for the easy money. Maybe they feel a little funny about it at first and someone coerced them, but they did it, and then the cash started to flow.

I think it's time for some honesty about our sexuality! Women don't need mandates and laws dictating or controlling our sexual decisions under the guise of protection.

News, Jan. 28: “Goodbye, J.Crew”

Out of Context

In a recent article, a quote appeared that the "Eileen Fisher store was next to go." As a result, many of our customers have come in and called concerned with this news. The Eileen Fisher Santa Fe store is not moving out; in fact we have a strong business and do many events that support local charities and the community.
