The Armstrong Lie

Hey! Did you hear? Lance Armstrong lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and lied and lied about doping.

For years! And years!

And he bullied people who challenged him! And sued them! Oh, you heard? How? Oh, Oprah. Right, the Oprah interview. Sure. Oh, and when the news broke before that. Yeah, sure.

Oh, and the news story from last week when Armstrong met with Emma O'Reilly, his former massage therapist. And the story from The New York Times in October 2012 when she laid out her side of the story. So you know everything. Oh, oh! Except this!

The Armstrong Lie director Alex Gibney was making a Lance Armstrong documentary in 2008 when Armstrong announced he'd come back for the 2009 Tour de France. And he kind of got sucked into the Lanceness of it all!

Oh, you don't care? What do you care about? All the supporters of Livestrong who feel like they got cheated? Why Armstrong's apologies seem curiously flat? Why anyone would care about his side of the story now? Yeah, you won't find that.

So I guess there's really nothing to see here. Let's go to Homefront instead!
