Gaining Velocity

Twelve local companies will get a crash course in entrepreneurism when the second round of the city-sponsored Velocity Project begins in January. Contract program managers with The MVM Group named their 2014 participants this week: Peaceful Pet Sitters, pet care services in the pet’s home; Bounceback Integrative Veterinary, mobility, pain management and conditioning for animals; Serigrafix, fine-art print studio; Samobi Industries, patented wall products; Acme Happy Chicken Company, modern chicken coops; Than Povi Fine Art, art gallery specializing in 22 NM tribes; Luque Meat Sauce, shelf-stable bison sauce; My Idea Tree, software; Resonant Body, instruments for sound healing; Eggman & Walrus, personal growth workshops for artists; Ramona Sakiestewa LLC, home décor; and ZOETIC, spa line. After the completion of the 8-week program, participants make presentations during a “Demo Day.”
