Insert ’80s Reference Here

July 30, 2013, 12:00 am
You can’t argue with a decade that found us tearing down the Berlin Wall, obsessing over music videos and lusting after hover boards.

Yeah, the ’80s were cool, alright—especially in the music department. Who among us can resist hot jams from bands like Talk Talk, The Cure or INXS? Well, hold onto that feeling, feather your hair and head down to Rouge Cat for the second installment of Back to the ’80s Prom.

DJ pet and Punky Brewster’s Bastard Kids spin the best in new wave and beyond. Even peeps who weren’t born in the ’80s will agree that the current boom of synths in modern music can’t hold a torch to the decade’s glory days.

You don’t need money, you don’t need fame, you don’t need a credit card to ride this train (because Rouge Cat will gladly take your cash)…that’s the power of love.

Back to the 80s Prom 2:
9 pm Friday, Aug. 2. $5.
Rouge Cat, 101 W Marcy St.,
