Santa Fe Joins 'Light the Way to Justice' Movement

As the Supreme Court hears two major gay-rights cases, Santa Fe joined the Light the Way to Justice movement.

Locals showed up donning red in support of the cause and heard speeches by Mayor David Coss, Councilor Patti J Bushee and the Human Rights Alliance's Doug Nava on Wednesday evening in front of City Hall.

Coss, who last week made national and worldwide headlines by stating that same-sex marriage is already legal in Santa Fe told the crowd he dreams of one day walking his gay daughter down the aisle.

"If she wants to, if she wants to," he joked.

Below is a photo dispatch of the vigil.
