Guru Steps Down

In Brief

Corey Pein
Last month, the largest private television network in South Korea, Seoul Broadcasting System, ran a lengthy investigative report on Dahn Yoga, a controversial fitness chain that claims its “brain wave vibration” techniques can cure crippling genetic conditions. Prior to the broadcast on “Wanna Know”—Korea’s version of 60 Minutes—Los Angeles-based SBS producer Mia Lee interviewed SFR about its stories on Dahn’s Santa Fe branch. Lee told SFR that Dahn members shadowed her and tried to block her cameras during her reporting in Sedona, Ariz., home to Dahn’s US campus. She also said SBS had been under pressure not to portray Dahn negatively. SFR expects a copy of the SBS show soon; volunteer Korean translators should email SFR.
