Best Place for Free Wi-Fi

Assuming You're Not Afraid of It

1 Santa Fe Baking Co.

Is it true residual Wi-Fi waves are going to fry the brains of every living person within their range? It doesn’t seem to have affected the employees of the Santa Fe Baking Co., and it certainly hasn’t hurt the company’s popularity. Indeed, the Baking Co. would probably be a worthy destination even if there wasn’t any food at all. The secret, as much as it can be called a secret, is to make the Wi-Fi connection fast and reliable to keep up with demand. “We make sure that we have the highest meg line available, and upgrade as years go by,” owner Eric Struck says. With the Baking Co.’s current 8-meg line, even the most demanding keyboard commando should have no qualms. Just think: fast, free internet and one of Santa Fe Baking Co.’s great breakfast burritos…it’s a match made in heaven. (Alex Roberts)
