Laura Moore, owner of The Critters & Me, wants to be the one to help in that endeavor. “We’re here to educate and to help people be better caretakers for their pets,” she says of the staff at Critters, which offers a huge selection of high-quality pet foods.

In addition to nutrition and supplements, Critters also carries toys, treats, leashes, collars, bowls and even stuff for not-so-fuzzy creatures. Lizards, snakes and the like will be happy to hear that cages, lights and reptile food can now be found at Critters. For 10 years, Critters has been a favorite in town; and Moore explains her secret to success: “I really, really, really try hard to keep it the same.” This keeps the selection reliable, the product knowledge consistent and Santa Feans’ pets well fed and healthy.
