Best Bar for Live Music 2008

Like Guitars and Microphones and Drums, Oh My!

For the last 20 years, the Santa Fe Brewing Company has been bringing yummy beer to the masses. And nothing goes better with brew than live music. The beginning of summer saw both Beirut and X pack the house and, according to quality control and music promotions staffer Jeff Williams, that’s only the beginning. The key to the Brew Co.’s success? According to Williams, it’s “being consistent. We bring local, regional and national acts, but fight to keep prices low.” Williams knows that music lovers need a little pocket money left over for swag and a cold one while at a show. But, unlike most bars, the Brewing Co. is primarily a restaurant, which means that shows are all ages and end early enough for the diehards to catch tunes downtown for a full night of music.
