“Throw your computers out! These things will drive you crazy!” Santa Fe Computer Works owner Steve Ewers exclaims, when asked what he has to say to the readers of SFR who voted his computer repair and service business the Best. Of course, he’s (mostly) joking. It just so happens that SFR reached him the day after a massive power surge fried computers all over town. “There’s a customer standing right in front of me waiting to talk to me,” Ewers says, nevertheless managing to share the spelling of his last name, the fact that Santa Fe Computer Works has been in business for 17 years and that the repairs are exclusively for PCs—no Macs. Ewers’ priority is clearly customer service; he expresses gratitude for the support of SFR’s readers while asking, “Can we go without the quote? We’re so busy!”
