Season V Premiere of Game of Thrones is Coming to the Jean Cocteau

Free screenings take over the single-screen on March 28

George RR Martin’s Montezuma Avenue arthouse was at capacity last night, as fans gathered to watch episodes nine (“The Watchers on the Wall”) and 10 (“The Children”) of Game of Thrones’ season IV.

After the screenings, Martin emerged from the back of the theater, Elvis style, and led a Skype Q&A with Watchers director Neil Marshall, the man also responsible for season two's epic "Blackwater."

Martin also confirmed that the Cocteau will show the season premiere of season V in English and Spanish on a limited basis. The details for those engagements will be posted on the cinema's website on Friday.

The famed Santa Fe resident played gracious host, added some insight to the TV adaptation's grueling shooting schedule and, prompted by an audience member question, asked Marshall if he'd be returning to direct an episode for season V, premiering April 12 on HBO.

The answer was no, though the also director of Centurion and The Descent said he wouldn't mind coming back for season VI. "I don't know, are there any big battles in season six?" he asked GRRM.

To which the author replied, "I'm writing some huge battles for the books…one of them with dragons."

And there you have it.
