Today, word got out about former CitiFinancial Santa Fe branch manager Anthony Moya's latest trouble: An indictment from US Attorney Kenneth Gonzales on 11 counts of bank fraud. The indictment also names Moya's wife, Eunice Moya, who works in HR at the New Mexico Public Education Department.

Eunice Moya is listed on PED's organizational chart (pdf) as "Human Resources Supervisor"; however, PED spokeswoman Beverly  Friedman says Moya's actual job title is "Human Resources Trainer and Labor Relations Specialist."

According to Friedman, "Her job status has not changed," and PED has no comment about the indictment. Moya did not immediately return a message left on her office phone.

The indictments, according to the Associated Press, relate to a scheme by the Moyas to defraud CitiFinancial of hundreds of thousands of dollars in 2004 and 2005.

Update: A previous version of this post incorrectly linked Anthony Moya to a separate embezzlement case decided earlier this year.
