The Observer, a newspaper serving the Union and Wallowa counties in Oregon, published
last week of a former Santa Fe-resident who stands to make a ton of money off his invention of the "
," which is technical-speak for earplugs for your nose.
David Foggia, the Observer reports, is asking the US Food & Drug Administration to consider his product for vaccine delivery, rather than an already-approved nasal spray on the market. Here's the really inappropriately amusing part:
A few years ago, while he was living in Santa Fe, N.M., he had a close friend who was caring for a sick relative. The friend had a hard time dealing with associated odors.
Foggia and the friend put their heads together and came up with the idea for the Undetectable Nasal Insert.
Um, ew. But it's good to know there is some relief available from those clouds of unmistakable old-person odor you sometimes pass through downtown during the summer months.
